Together We Can Change The Community

And this mission starts with Humboldt County. You can become a part of this journey with us today. Join us in our mission to extend help for the homeless and provide care services for needy families.

If you didn’t know, Here’s a bit
Our aim is to assist those on the streets by providing them a variety of support services. We strongly believe that all individuals deserve a chance at a dignified life, especially those suffering from terminal illnesses or are reaching towards the end of their life. At the Sarah Carson House, we primarily reach out to such individuals and present them with safe and respectable means to recover. Our community support outreach efforts include:
Palliative support for sick and
Grief & Spiritual support
Nutritional sustenance for those in need
Getting back in the system support
VERSE: 28 - One of the scribes,i when he came forward and heard them disputing and saw how well he had answered them, asked him, “Which is the first of all the commandments?”
29 - Jesus replied, “The first is this: ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is Lord alone!
30 - You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’j
31 - The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”k
32 - The scribe said to him, “Well said, teacher. You are right in saying, ‘He is One and there is no other than he.’
33 - And ‘to love him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself’ is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”l
34 - And when Jesus saw that [he] answered with understanding, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” And no one dared to ask him any more questions.
As a part of our end-of-life efforts, the Sarah Carson House also provides a holistic support community to individuals suffering from terminal diseases. Our current cancer support program is oriented towards equipping survivors, people still going through treatment, and people who are at the end of their life, with a network of empowering and lucrative resources. In addition to educational programs, social activities, and support groups, we also provide a resting place to those suffering from terminal illnesses like cancer and have nowhere to go.
Dignity, respect, and peace – this is what we offer at the Sarah Carson House and if we can't help we might be able to direct you to someone who can.
