Together We Can Change The Community
The State of California is home to one of the largest homeless populations in the United States. In light of this, the Sarah Carson House is on a mission to eradicate poverty. And this mission starts with Humboldt County. You can become a part of this journey with us today. Join us in our mission to extend help for the homeless and provide care services for needy families.

If you didn’t know, Here’s a bit
Our aim is to assist those on the streets by providing them a variety of support services. We strongly believe that all individuals deserve a chance at a dignified life, especially those suffering from terminal illnesses or are reaching towards the end of their life. At the Sarah Carson House, we primarily reach out to such individuals and present them with safe and respectable means to recover. Our community support outreach efforts include:
Palliative support for sick and
Grief & Spiritual support
Nutritional sustenance for those in need
Getting back in the system support
Asked the student to the Novice Master; “What is the Meaning of life.”
Andrew Dinager, novice
The novice master replied; “We were put here, on this earth, to learn how to love.”
Br Jeffery Calendar, CFA
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
As a part of our end-of-life efforts, the Sarah Carson House also provides a holistic support community to individuals suffering from terminal diseases. Our current cancer support program is oriented towards equipping survivors, people still going through treatment, and people who are at the end of their life, with a network of empowering and fruitful resources. In addition to educational programs, social activities, and support groups, we also provide a resting place to those suffering from terminal illnesses like cancer and have nowhere to go.
Dignity, respect, and peace – this is what we offer at the Sarah Carson House and if we can't help we might be able to direct you to someone who can.
Palliative & End of Life Humboldt County
Palliative and hospice care is readily available at the Sarah Carson House for all. However, marginalized and precarious communities like the homeless are our main target; if you or someone you know is suffering from a life threatening condition without a comfortable place to reside, please connect with us right away.
